In Chad, one in five children will die before their fifth birthday. Only half of Chadian children are fully immunized against major preventable diseases. Acute respiratory infections, malaria and diarrheal diseases are the most common causes of death. HIV / AIDS affects 18,000 children under 14 years.
Pep Bonet worked in Bebedjia, Chad at Saint Joseph’s hospital, where he spent eight days documenting the pediatric ward following Doctor Jorge Muñoz through his daily work.The film follows the daily diary of Dr Jorge Muñoz, who narrates his experience from “the most beautiful hell I know”.The second chapter of “The most beautiful hell I know” will be filmed in August 2014
